GUIDED COHO SALMON FISHING ON THE KENAI RIVER

Coho salmon fishermen and catchPlan a day of fishing for the big, feisty coho salmon after the 2005 Annual Meeting on Friday, September 16 in the world-famous Kenai River . All gear and bait will be provided and your fishing day will be from about 6AM to 12noon. A block of rooms for AFS members will be held for lodging the night before, if you wish to avoid the 2.5 hour drive from Anchorage before the trip. A lunch can be arranged. All you need to bring is warm clothing, rain gear, a one-day fishing license, camera and film. The cost for the charter will be $100.

Your trip must be booked before the meeting, by September 1, 2005 .

View from the highwayDriving time from Anchorage to the fishing site in the town of Soldotna is about 2.5 hours, so you can return to Anchorage on a Friday evening flight. Or, from Soldotna, stay an extra day or two and visit the town of Kenai , Homer, or Seward.
