Spawning Run

Take a beautiful sunrise run along Cook Inlet and see the 3rd highest tidal fluctuations in the world in action! The 2005AFS spawning run will start just a couple of blocks from the Hilton Hotel (our Headquarters hotel) at the start of the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail. Staging for the race will occur on 2nd Ave between F and G streets. The race will follow the scenic Coastal Trail for 2.5 K to Westchester Lagoon and back. There should be great birdwatching along the way for walkers, and runners that aren't that serious about winning J You may even get to see a moose. Talk about inspiration to run faster!

Please join us for this “fun for the whole family” event! The race will start PROMPTLY at 7 AM on Wednesday, September 14th - so try to be at the staging area 10-15 minutes before the start time.
