Creating a Fisheries Mosaic:
Connections Across Jurisdictions, Disciplines, and Cultures

The American Fisheries Society (AFS) will convene its 135th Annual Meeting at the Egan Convention Center, Anchorage, Alaska, September 11-15, 2005.

The meeting’s theme, “Creating A Fisheries Mosaic: Connections Across Jurisdictions, Disciplines, and Cultures” represents a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. We expect you will find the collection of events, symposia, and contributed papers in Anchorage to be a stimulating mosaic of fishery and aquatic science, culture, and adventure.

Anchorage will be an outstanding venue to advance your company’s profile and to keep current on emerging ideas in fisheries science and management, with the added bonus of an opportunity to experience some of Alaska’s scenery, wilderness, and recreational adventures.

Exhibiting your companies products and services at this important industry event will give you the visibility to participate in this community gathering with over 1,200 fisheries scientists, administrators, educators, consultants, field biologists, research supervisors, aquaculturists, and agency directors.

There are abundant opportunities for meeting and informal networking with conference attendees:

  • The Exhibit Hall is central to the meeting events and sessions, so it will be convenient for attendees to visit your booth.
  • The poster sessions will again be held in and near the exhibit hall during open hours. Posters will be located adjacent to the exhibit booths giving attendees, presenters and exhibitors a chance to interact, exchange information and network all in one location.
  • The Trade Show Social, a mixer on the first evening of the Trade Show provides an ideal opportunity for casual introductions and informal networking.
  • Refreshments and luncheons available inside the Exhibit Hall are designed to draw participants in and keep them circulating.
  • The ever-popular AFS Raffle will again be showcased in the exhibit hall with the drawing for prizes held during the lunch hour on Wednesday.
  • Two full conference registrations available with each booth will allow your personnel to attend all conference sessions and functions to interact with attendees outside of the exhibit hall and gain information on industry issues.

Past exhibitors include companies providing aeration systems, aquaculture supplies, consultant services, computer and software applications, digital fish measuring equipment, fish tagging and tracking equipment, federal and state fisheries agencies, hydro-acoustic
systems, and water quality monitoring and filtration systems and many more….

This dynamic event will attract fisheries professionals from around the world.

This is your opportunity to be an integral part of the fisheries industry future…. Reserve your booth today!
