William Trachtenberg Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Sustainable Fisheries Foundation (SFF) is a charitable, non-profit organization that is dedicated to promoting the conservation and wise use of our shared fisheries and aquatic resources in British Columbia and elsewhere in the western region. In February 2001, our friend - William Trachtenberg - passed away. William spent a large portion of his life in service to those in need. As well, he actively supported the public education and outreach programs of the SFF. In recognition of these efforts, the SFF established the William Trachtenberg Memorial Scholarship Fund to provide grants to graduate students conducting fisheries sustainability studies. The scholarship is awarded annually, based on applications submitted to the Western division of the American Fisheries Society. |
