Committee Chair - Dave Lentz

The Time and Place Committee, with the acceptance of the WDAFS ExCom, has selected the following locations for the next three WDAFS Annual meetings:

2005 (September) – Anchorage , Alaska – co-convened with the Parent AFS and the Alaska Chapter

2006 (Feb or Mar.?) – Montana ( Bozeman ?) – co-convened with the Montana Chapter

2007 (???) – San Francisco , CA – co-convened with theParent AFS and Cal-Neva Chapter

The WDAFS Time and Place Committee has been in suspended animation for some time, as the 2003, 2004, and 2005 meeting locations are already “in place.” It is now time for the Committee to gear up for the 2006 meeting and pursue a host(s). Preliminary ideas to be discussed at the EXCOM meeting April 14.

Annual Meeting Schedule:

2001 – Phoenix, Arizona (jointly held with the 131st AFS Annual Meeting).

2002 – As noted on the Web page, the Oregon Chapter tentatively agreed to sponsor.  However, I have tried to contact the Oregon Chapter via email on several occasions without success.   

2003 – The Northwest Pacific International Chapter  (Bill Mavaris, 206/296-1946)  will host in conjunction with the Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (Dave Brittal, 360/902-2504).  The meeting is tentatively scheduled for July 2003.  The location will be near Seattle.

2004 – I have contacted Bonneville and Hawaii Chapters about the possibility of hosting the WD AFS annual meeting in 2004.  As of this date, neither has said no.
