1999 Annual Western Division AFS Meeting
University of Idaho
Moscow, Idaho
July 12-14, 1999
Trade Show
As in past years, the Western Division of the American Fisheries Society is hosting a Trade Show in conjunction with its annual meeting.
The WDAFS annual meeting typically attracts a wide variety of fisheries and aquatic science professionals from academic, public, and private sectors throughout the west and US. The scientists, administrators, managers, educators, students, consultants, biologists, aquaculturists, and researchers attending this years meeting exert tremendous influence on purchasing decisions at their respective places of employment. Participating in the Western Division Trade Show is an outstanding opportunity to showcase your products and services to those who will use them, as well as to receive valuable feedback.
The Trade Show will be held in the Student Union Building at the University of Idaho. All 10 x 10 spaces are located in a securable area, and include a draped table, two chairs, and electricity. Set up times are scheduled for Sunday afternoon (July 11), and Monday morning (July 12). Because the plenary session and Trade Show will be held in the same room, all exhibits must be set up before 8:00 am on Monday.
In addition to holding the plenary session in the same room, Trade Show exposure will be maximized by holding all scheduled breaks in the same room. To encourage meeting attendees to contact Trade Show vendors, there will be a raffle prize awarded to an attendee who visits all the vendor booths (verified by a punch card/stamp system).
A 50% deposit is required with the attached booth reservation form, and full payment of $300 is due by July 1, 1999. All payments must be in US currency, and if full payment has not been received by the deadline, the booth space may be used as otherwise needed. Each booth fee entitles one person to the full compliment of breaks, meals, and amenities afforded to a meeting registrant.
Display materials may be shipped and secured via UPS by sending to: Student Union Building, University of, Idaho, 709 Deacon Avenue, Moscow, Idaho, 83844-4251. Phone contacts are 208-885-6484 or 208-885-6956.
Lodging has been reserved at three local hotels, so be sure to mention you are participating in the WDAFS meeting to obtain the best rate (see Accommodations).
Please feel free to contact Bill Bradshaw if you encounter problems, need additional information, or require other specific accommodations for your display.
