Invasive Species: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

Thursday Morning - July 20 - West Ballroom

Ken Hashagen – Moderator; WDAFS President, California Fish and Game Dept.

This session was put together with the intent of drawing attention to the large number of invasive species that have become established throughout the West and to improve the understanding of biologists regarding  impacts of invasive species.  The session will highlight a number of problem species that fisheries managers throughout the west must consider in their management plans.  The impetus for the session was a result of the illegal introduction of northern pike into California.
